For immediate releaseMontreal, April 20, 2016

On this April 20th (or 4/20 to those in the know), Dead Obies unveils a new video directed by Rococo Montréal for Everyday, off their most recent album, Gesamtkunstwerk.

With their truly inspired new collection (Brendan Kelly, The Gazette), the band has once again conquered critics and fans alike. Following a high-profile interview on the TV show Tout le monde en parle, Gesamtkunstwerk hit #1 on the Quebec sales chart. The sextet has since performed sold-out shows in every city they’ve visited, from Gatineau to Saguenay via Montreal and Quebec City.

Partially recorded in front of a live audience, the songs on Gesamtkunstwerk are tailored to be experienced as part of a live show. The album’s rallying and inclusive universe takes on its full meaning on a stage.

Dead Obies will perform in Toronto for the first time since the new album’s release on May 6th and 7th, as part of Canadian Music Week.

[a] truly inspired new collection

Brendan Kelly, The Gazette

The title, a German word that essentially translates "total, all-embracing" work of art, is bang on.
