After releasing his single Sleeping in My Own in January, which has been streamed 750,000 times on Spotify and is in rotation on many Quebec radio stations, Geoffroy returns with Coastline, the title track from his debut album, set to be released on March 10th via Bonsound. Watch and share the video for Coastline via YouTube. (Warning: the video may contain some nudity.)

Co-produced by Gabriel Gagnon, Max Gendron and Geoffroy, the album Coastline reflects the artist’s fear of commitment and his desire for escape and freedom. I’ve travelled a lot in my life, Geoffroy explains, and I think it comes out naturally through my music. He collaborated with Max Gendron (Prince Club) and Gabriel Gagnon (Milk & Bone) for the composition and production of the album. Quebec City's Men I Trust and Fjord also participated to the making of two tracks off the album.

These eleven songs form an album that is both original and cohesive, and explores Geoffroy’s many states of mind. Inspired by travel and nature, as well as a strong desire for change, the artist is in full quest-mode for freedom and independence.

Coastline, the follow-up to his Soaked in Gold EP released in 2015, gives way to a more downtempo, electronica/trip-hop inspired sound, following the path of artists such as Chet Faker, SOHN or Sylvan Esso. Carefully crafted and produced, the record features a solid mix of percussions, guitars, analog keyboards and synths, and woodwind instruments.

The album Coastline is available to pre-order now on Bandcamp and iTunes. Singles Coastline and Sleeping on My Own are also available on all streaming platforms.
