Released in November (digitally and on CD), Safia Nolin’s album Reprises Vol.1 will be available on vinyl this Saturday, April 22nd as part of Record Store Day. A limited coloured edition will be offered exclusively in two stores: Aux 33 Tours in Montreal and Le Knock-Out in Quebec City. Other record stores will offer a standard edition of the vinyl.
On Reprises Vol.1, Safia put her own sensitive twist on eight Quebecois classics, from La Chicane, to Céline Dion, to Offenbach. She even revisits Marie Carmen’s Entre l’ombre et la lumière with none other than… Marie Carmen!
Currently touring in France and Switzerland, the 2016 ADISQ winner for Breakthrough Artist of the Year will resume her Quebec tour over the next few months before she begins to work on her second album of original material. She will play special shows in Quebec City at Impérial Bell on May 26th (Nuits FEQ) and in Montreal at Théâtre Maisonneuve on June 17th (FrancoFolies de Montréal).
