Once again Duchess Says will hit the road to play three venues on American soil this fall. The band, having already shared the stage with renowned bands all over the world, including Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, Ariel Pink, The Black Lips and The Buzzcocks, tour with none other than landmark rockers Hot Snakes. Duchess Says will be opening for the Californian band in Washington, DC on November 15th and in Philadelphia on November 18th. The consistently innovative musicians will be joined by Guerilla Toss and Future Punx in Brooklyn on November 16th.

Duchess Says will also play with Yamantaka // Sonic Titan (their first album made the 2012 Polaris prize short list) in Ontario for six dates. In addition to songs from their latest album, Duchess Says will perform tracks from their previous records.

About Duchess Says
Duchess Says was created in 2013 by four members of the Church of Budgerigars whose goal was to insure a faithful representation of the message of the Duchess (or spiritual budgie) through a precise artistic dialog. Composed of A-Claude (vox, keytar, guitar), Ismael (keyboard, guitar), Phil (guitar, bass, feedbacks) and Simon (lo-fi beats, drums and doubtful noises), Duchess Says serves a repertory of moog rock - strong in image and a live force to be reckoned with. Everyone who has witnessed them knows the theatrical mayhem that ensues, with antics approaching those of Jesus Lizard’s David Yow. They have unleashed a number of self-serving pagan soirees including SXSW, Festival d’été de Québec, Nuits Sonores, Dour, Osheaga, Primavera Sound, Eurockéennes and CMJ. Released on October 14th, 2016 via Bonsound (Canada) and Slovenly (rest of the world), their latest album Sciences Nouvelles was recorded at Mountain City Studio by Adrian Popovitch and Joseph Donovan, and at St-Hippolyte by Olivier Maguire. Sciences Nouvelles is a great distorted trip that will lead you to a new emotional scientific experiment.
