Currently nominated for Francophone Album of the Year at the Juno Awards, Lisa LeBlanc is back with Quoi-ce tu fais ça pour?, her first new song since the release of Chiac Disco in March 2022. The single is out today on Bonsound.

Recorded during the same studio sessions as her latest album, Quoi-ce tu fais ça pour? is a call back to her funk-flavoured hits Pourquoi faire aujourd'hui and Gossip. The song's title is inspired by the Acadian dialect spoken in Lisa's hometown of Rosaireville, New Brunswick, where the words "Qu'est-ce " are usually replaced by "Quoi-ce ". On this new track, Lisa calls out cheeky, rude and awkward mannerisms with her usual verve and wit. Supported by a highly addictive melody and a steady, relentless rhythm, Lisa’s new single includes a hypnotic keyboard riff and a brass section that backs up the song with vigour and elegance.

Quoi-ce tu fais ça pour? is now available on all music services.

Lisa LeBlanc is currently on tour across both sides of the Atlantic. In addition to upcoming dates in Canada, notably in Quebec City, Toronto and Trois-Rivières, she is headed to Europe in April for shows in France and Belgium. Afterwards, she will travel to Lafayette for a performance at the Festival International de Louisiane on April 28th and 29th. Other dates will follow in the fall of 2023. After earning a spot on the prestigious Polaris Music Prize short list in September with Chiac Disco, Lisa won a Félix for Pop Album of the Year and Album Production of the Year at the 2022 ADISQ Gala. Last December, the album also made it onto several year-end lists, notably those of Exclaim!, Libération, Ferarock, ICI Musique, Cult MTL, Le Devoir and Le Soleil. In addition, the Acadian artist is currently nominated in four categories at the East Coast Music Awards.

About Lisa LeBlanc
Not long after earning major praise at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, Lisa LeBlanc unveiled her greatly acclaimed, self-titled debut album 10 years ago. She then released Highways, Heartaches and Time Well Wasted in 2014, followed two years later by the Polaris short-listed Why You Wanna Leave Runaway Queen?. She opted to sing in English on these last two efforts, thus expanding her creative potential and reaching out to new audiences. Those three records sold over 140,000 copies. A few years later and with a new background as a music producer (after having worked with Édith Butler and Jacques Surette), Lisa returned in full force with the highly anticipated Chiac Disco.
