Bonsound is very happy to announce Milk & Bone’s signing to its label and booking rosters. Formed by Camille Poliquin and Laurence Lafond-Beaulne, the band is set to release their debut album in early spring 2015. At the forefront of the duo’s sonic universe, made of electronic textures and layers of synths, are their vocal harmonies, which form the spellbinding heart of the partnership.
Today, the electro-pop band shares their first video for New York. Director Mégane Voghell brilliantly translates the song’s melancholy and minimalism into intense and emotive black and white images.
In addition to New York, you can also check out Coconut Water, which has garnered over 43,000 plays on Soundcloud since its premiere via NYLON in August. Milk & Bone will be performing during an M for Montreal showcase this Friday, November 21st at 4pm at Café Campus. Don’t miss it!
About Milk & Bone
Both studio and touring musicians (Alex Nevsky, Jason Bajada, Karim Ouellet, Les soeurs Boulay, David Giguère, etc.), Camille Poliquin and Laurence Lafond-Beaulne began to write songs together after collaborating with the band Misteur Valaire on their most recent album, Bellevue Avenue. Milk & Bone was officially named and born. During the summer of 2014, the duo released two singles, New York and Coconut Water, which were very well received in Quebec as well as within the blogosphere (NYLON Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, HillyDilly, All Things Go).
