Two years following the release of their solid debut album, 27 Club, brothers Guillaume and Maxime Chiasson are set to release their second album, La réalité nous suffit, due out April 28th via Bonsound.
While we wait for spring to come, Ponctuation now releases Poésie automatique, a red-hot slacker-punk single that recalls 27 Club’s feel-good vibe and marks a shift towards a more psychedelic sonic universe.
Ponctuation will be performing on February 14th at Scanner in Quebec City. More dates, and further details about the album, will be announced in upcoming weeks.
About Ponctuation:
Based in Quebec City, garage-rock band Ponctuation released their debut album 27 Club in March 2013, which was recorded on tape at studio Hotel2Tango in Montreal by Howard Bilerman. Brilliantly transferring their music’s raw energy and catchy melodies to the stage, the brothers have performed at many large-scale festivals such as the FrancoFolies de Montréal, Osheaga and the TransMusicales de Rennes (France). In March 2014, Ponctuation won the Emerging Francophone Artist of the Year award at the SiriusXM Indies.
We acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage (Canada Music Fund) and of Canada's Private Radio Broadcasters.
If you’re looking for some new French Canadian music to spice up your boring old English playlist, look no further than Quebec City brother duo Ponctuation.
