Two years after the release of their first album, 27 Club, brothers Guillaume and Maxime Chiasson ramp it up with their new self-produced album La réalité nous suffit. Moving from heavy garage rock to psychedelic slacker-punk, their latest project is filled with the same vivacity as their first effort. La réalité nous suffit will be available April 28th on CD, vinyl and digital formats via Bonsound. You can also pre-order the album on bandcamp and iTunes.
You’ve already heard Poésie automatique. Now the band unveils another single, Météo, along with a music video directed by Philippe Beauséjour. Ponctuation will perform their new material at both album launches in Montreal on April 29 at Bar le Ritz P.D.B. and in Québec City on May 1st at Le Cercle.
Recorded live and on the fly in St-Roch, Quebec City, the band has put forth their best sound yet. These tracks (recorded on a Tascam 388) ooze with poetry, confidence and distortion.
"Why must we be both the skyscraper and the blueprint?" These lyrics from Poésie automatique served as inspiration to artists Louis-Alexandre Beauregard and Thomas B. Martin for the record’s artwork. La réalité nous suffit is a brilliant second album which reminds us to live life to the fullest as time passes us by.
