As you may already know, Dead Obies will record their next album of entirely new songs in front of a live audience during a three-concerts series at PHI Centre on October 14th, 15th and 16th. Tickets for the shows are on sale now via deadobies.com and on PHI Centre’s website. The October 16th show is now sold-out, but tickets for the first two nights are still available.
For the occasion, the performances by MCs Yes Mccan, Snail Kid, O.G. BEAR, 20Some and RCA, along with producer VNCE, will be backed by musicians from Kalmunity, Canada's largest and longest running improv music collective. On top of taking part in the recording of 15 new songs a few months before the album’s release, the audience will get to experience an immersive and interactive multimedia concert complete with wild projections and a mean light show. Dead Obies will also take advantage of these three PHI Centre shows to shoot two music videos and a short documentary film around the creation of their new album.
Note to fans: a pop-up shop with exclusive Dead Obies merchandise will also be installed at PHI Centre. The band collaborated with three Montreal designers - Bonvilain, Artgang and Stopshop Boutik - to offer limited edition items.
