Today, BEYRIES releases her single To Love Somebody on all music services. While she and Pierre Marchand (who produced all of Sarah McLachlan’s studio albums since 1991’s Solace) were in a studio session working on original material, the two had the idea to record a stripped-down version of the Bee Gees classic. It’s a song that I’ve always loved, and that I’ve performed a few times in concert, explains BEYRIES. Her moving cover of To Love Somebody is synched in tonight’s episode of the American TV series Grey’s Anatomy, airing on ABC and CTV at 9pm ET.

The song is out now on all music services.

BEYRIES released her sophomore effort, Encounter, in November 2020. The album - which has garnered 2 million streams across all platforms so far - includes Graceless, a rousing, Springsteen-ian anthem that leaves no emotional stone unturned, and Closely, a tender, intimate conversation about what lies beneath. Every song on the majestic 11-track LP - produced by Alex McMahon - tells a story. Through BEYRIES’ unceasing commitment to songcraft, melody, harmony and lyrics, Encounter elegantly describes the earnest, fulfilling connections we make along our journey. While Exclaim! declared that Encounter is an ambitious record (...) made with great care, Clash Music compared standout track Over Me to Fleetwood Mac’s oeuvre and gave the album a score of 8/10.

The album Encounter is available now on vinyl, CD and all digital music services.

After selling over 2000 tickets for a virtual concert presented by Montreal’s Place des Arts in January, BEYRIES is finally able to head out on the road in her home province of Quebec to present her new album in front of audiences. Accompanied by three musicians, she will play shows in Brossard, Drummondville, Shawinigan and Terrebonne over the next few weeks. Please see below for a complete list of her tour dates and visit beyriesmusic.com for more details.
