After the release of their critically-acclaimed sophomore album Partager l’ambulance in February, Misc is now challenging the public to a singular and interactive virtual experience broadcast for the first time on April 9th at 8pm (EDT). For the occasion, the three musicians will perform live versions of the songs off their latest album through a post-apocalyptic tableau created and designed in collaboration with their terrific creative team. The performance will then be available on demand for anyone who missed it. To enhance the experience, Misc is also launching an interactive web page (accessible via Google Chrome only) which will not only host the event, but also allow you to explore the inside of the ambulance, as seen on the cover of their album.

Purchase tickets here for Misc’s virtual experience.
Partager l’ambulance is available on vinyl, CD and on all music services.

In the next few days, the trio will be hitting the road for concerts across Quebec: from the Magdalen Islands to Saguenay. Tickets are available here.

Partager l’ambulance showcases Misc’s ability to dig into their artistic background to deliver music that is both complex and restriction-free. The trio embraces traditional jazz through their vocabulary and improvisation, but they also know how to put their influences to good use by pulling from electro, rock, and pop sounds, as well as an optimal blend of samples and sound effects.

Through their sophomore effort’s eight tracks, Misc plays with textures and grooves, using percussion, synthesizers and solid bass lines, all without compromising the melodies. Using multiple effects, the trio expands their sound palette to accentuate the architectural character of their compositions. The great cohesion of the album lies in the distinctive style for which Misc has been renowned since their beginnings. Since it's release, it has received praise from BBC Radio 6, France Musique and Radio-Canada, as well as from publications such as MOJO, Exclaim, Le Devoir, La Presse and the Vancouver Sun.
