P’tit Belliveau delves into 90s hip-hop soundscapes on Demain, his new single coming out today via Bonsound. The track will be featured on Un homme et son piano, the upcoming sophomore album from the prolific Nova Scotian artist. Due out on April 1st, this album marks his return to original music, and is available for pre-order now.

Jonah Guimond (aka P’tit Belliveau) first introduced this irresistible earworm on Twitch, his platform of choice for when it comes to musical experimentation. With its cheerful melody, catchy rhythm and doo wop backing vocals, Demain embraces a dreamy hip-hop sound mixed with folk melodies. The song was the final track recorded for this album, and the "last minute song" reflects the singer-songwriter’s motivational paradox; he is both an ambitious artist and an incorrigible procrastinator.

Demain is available on all digital platforms.

The self-taught artist entrusted the animation of this video to Mathieu Labrecque. “There is something very alive in this song that inspires me to bring images to life. I wanted to make the lyrics resonate through an aesthetic that the viewer can ‘decode’. My goal was to produce as many sequences as possible to keep us constantly on our toes ", says the director.

After selling-out his show in September on the main stage of the Francos de Montréal, and winning over audiences at Paris’ Point Éphémère last fall, P’tit Belliveau has close to thirty concert dates planned in 2022. The tour includes a sold out show at Club Soda in Montréal on April 30th. Check out the list below or visit ptitbelliveau.com for all his show dates.

About Un homme et son piano
On Un homme et son piano, P’tit Belliveau pushes his creative boundaries more than ever. The Acadian singer-songwriter seeks to craft the perfect balance of ‘super organic’ and ‘hyper digital music’ across these 12 self-produced tracks. The songs mirror the wide range of musical styles that influence the artist, and draw as much from country and bluegrass as they do from genres like hip-hop, disco, Japanese city-pop and 90’s video game music.

About P’tit Belliveau
Jonah Richard Guimond was 11 years old when he found a guitar in his parents' closet and unwittingly became P'tit Belliveau. Since then, the singer-songwriter from the small francophone community of Baie Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia, has tackled music with never ending candor and an unconventional spirit.

In 2020, with the help of producer Emmanuel Éthier, he released Greatest Hits Vol.1, an undeniably rich debut album that earned him a trophy at the GAMIQ for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Best Album Production (with Éthier) at the ADISQ Gala, as well as a nomination on the Polaris Music Prize Long List. The young Acadian artist also made it onto several year-end lists, including CBC, Apple Music, ICI Musique and the Journal de Montréal. The noteworthy music video he self-directed for the song Income Tax has also reached over 300,000 views on YouTube, and has been the subject of multiple memes.

In 2021, the multi-instrumentalist released a tribute EP to his musical idol the late Baptiste Comeau. Now, with a flourishing artistic background and a very promising approach to music production, P'tit Belliveau is ready to unveil his second full-length album on April 1st, 2022.
