Last March, Lisa LeBlanc unveiled Chiac Disco, which received critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition to garnering praise from major media outlets such as Le Devoir, La Presse, Libération, Télérama, Exclaim!, CBC Music and FIP Radio, the album earned a spot on the prestigious Polaris Music Prize short list, which celebrates and rewards the best Canadian album released each year.

Chiac Disco is available on vinyl, CD and on all music services.

This Sunday, November 6th, watch Lisa LeBlanc perform at the ADISQ Gala, which will be held at Place des Arts in Montreal and broadcasted on ICI Télé. The Acadian artist is nominated in the following categories this year: Singer-songwriter of the Year, Female Performer of the Year, Song of the Year for Pourquoi faire aujourd’hui, Album of the Year - Critic’s Choice, Album of the Year - Pop, Album Production of the Year with Benoit Morier.

About Chiac Disco
Recorded alongside musicians Mico Roy, Léandre Bourgeois and Benoît Morier (with whom she co-produced the album), Chiac Disco is a collaborative and vibrant effort with a sometimes sixties, sometimes seventies feel, staging the improbable encounter between disco and chiac; where glamour meets rurality. Featuring nifty guitar riffs, extravagant string arrangements, a lively rhythm section, vibrant horns, and poetic, humorous lyrics about everyday life, Chiac Disco is a spontaneous and freewheeling response to the bleak year that was 2020.

About Lisa LeBlanc
Not long after earning major praise at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, Lisa LeBlanc unveiled her greatly acclaimed, self-titled debut album 10 years ago. She then released Highways, Heartaches and Time Well Wasted in 2014, followed two years later by the Polaris short-listed Why You Wanna Leave Runaway Queen? she opted to sing in English on these last two efforts, thus expanding her creative potential and reaching out to new audiences. Those three records sold over 140,000 copies. A few years later and with a new background as a music producer (after having worked with Édith Butler and Jacques Surette), Lisa returns in full force with the highly anticipated Chiac Disco.
