On June 16th, Les Louanges will be presenting a free outdoor show as part of the Francos de Montréal. Taking place at 9pm on the Bell stage, this will be the artist’s first ever concert on the main stage of the festival. After releasing the single Central Park La Fontaine back in April, Les Louanges recently unveiled a live performance of the song, captured during a surprise set he played at Parc La Fontaine in front of nearly 1,000 fans.

Watch and share the live version of Central Park La Fontaine via YouTube.

The live performance of Central Park La Fontaine was filmed and directed by Alex Acy and Vincent Gravel, who also created the music video for the same song. For us, this new recording was the logical finale to the love letter to Montreal that is Central Park La Fontaine and its music video, explains the director duo. The most important thing to capture, beyond the performance, was the park itself and the lovely people who hang out there.

In addition to his show at the Francos de Montréal, Les Louanges will be performing at several festivals this summer, including La Noce and FEQ. Visit leslouanges.com or check out the list below for more information.

In January 2022, Les Louanges unveiled Crash, his sophomore full-length album. The record immediately caught the attention of critics on both sides of the Atlantic, thanks to its ambitious, inventive pop direction. With Crash, Les Louanges was nominated at the Gala de l'ADISQ for Songwriter or Composer of the Year, Alternative Album of the Year and Critics' Choice of the Year, in addition to bringing home the awards for Arrangements of the Year (alongside his long-time collaborator Félix Petit) and Album Artwork of the Year. Described by Exclaim! as a “dense yet coherent album in which Roberge takes calculated risks” in their 8/10 review, Crash was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize and won the Idéa 2022 Grand Prix Design for its breathtaking visuals.
