A few weeks ago, Platinum selling, Acadian singer-songwriter Lisa LeBlanc joined Montrealers Groenland on stage for a unique performance in front of a sold-out Virgin Mobile Corona Theatre, which was recorded by CBC Music. Both major artists on Bonsound’s roster will perform at Canadian Music Week this year. Lisa LeBlanc will preview songs from her upcoming English EP on May 9th (midnight) at Sneaky Dee’s. On the other hand, Groenland will perform songs you might have heard on The Good Wife (CBS) and a British Airways ad, from their debut album The Chase, on May 10th (11:15pm) at Adelaide Hall.
Other great bands from Bonsound’s label and booking rosters will take part in this year's CMW:
Random Recipe will bring their "highly accomplished" (Montreal Gazette), contagious blend of electro and hip-hop to Sneaky Dee’s on May 9th (1am).
Montreal-based Secret Sun, who creates “lush and languid alternative pop songs” (Brooklyn Vegan) will preview songs from their upcoming debut album, due in the fall, at Skeaky Dee’s on May 9th (9pm).
Garage rock duo Ponctuation will definitely spice up your night on May 10th (1am) at Handlebar. The two brothers are nominated for two SiriusXM Indies, where they will play on May 10th, at the Kool Haus.
Buddy McNeil and the Magic Mirrors, renown for their colourful performances, will play at Rancho Relaxo on May 8th (8pm) and at Skeaky Dee’s on May 9th (8pm).
